Commercial Success at Cantiere Delle Marche: MG115 Sold

This sale highlights the ongoing success of CdM.

“We think it wise to be sure before making any claim. This is our policy. This is our approach to business. This is how and why we earned such a good reputation in the yachting industry, doing things, and doing them properly, before screaming them out. We try to offer and deliver quality and reliability in all aspects, not only in our expedition vessels” Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and Sales & Marketing Director of CdM, comments on the recent sale of the MG115.

As you have surely noticed, Cantiere delle Marche never presents to the press any new concept or project ‘to bait’ potential clients (or to make you write about us). Yet, we actually work relentlessly on new projects exploring how to improve our explorer yachts’ quality both technically and stylistically to offer our growing clientele a wide choice.

This is the case of our latest sale, the MG 115 with exterior design from the drawing board of Francesco Paszkowski. “We have worked extensively on this project for months with Francesco,” says Vasco Buonpensiere. “It stems from a fruitful collaboration between the yard’s team and the talented Florentine designer who has indeed developed a series of MG explorer yachts with an MG129 already under construction, an MG 115 sold and two more contracts (MG147 and MG115) on the final straight. This means that the full MG range will be sold by the end of the year.”

All models in the MG line share a strong personality characterized by extremely well-balanced volumes and proportions throughout the design, as well as those characterizing features as, for example, what we call ‘the invisible crane’.

The sale of the MG115 to another owner from the Americas confirms that CdM’s strategy in this territory proved to be successful. “Penetrating the Americas market was not easy and it took time and a long-term vision. It is a market composed by a great number of extremely experienced yacht owners with a pragmatic approach to yachting that perfectly fits with our pragmatic approach to yacht building,” Buonpensiere maintains.

“Since we started out the Americas sales campaign on the beginning of 2019, this is the third yacht sold in this territory and more promising negotiations are currently underway: it seems that our solid strategy is paying off, considering also that – differently from our competitors who have huge local sales teams and infrastructures – we do not have any local dealer or sales office helping us out”.

Let’s take a closer look to the Cantiere delle Marche MG 115

The project pays respect to the most exquisite yacht design tradition while implementing it with highly sophisticated design solutions that offer an outlook into the future. MG115’s profile is tense and dynamic yet it encompasses sensuous lines that add an unrivalled elegance to her exterior design. With this project, Francesco Paszkowski shows that medium size dimensions are not the enemy of creativity as they make it more effective. Actually, in just 35 metres the talented Italian designer succeeds in concentrate spaces and luxury amenities of a megayacht. And she is a pure explorer yacht.

This is another peculiarity which sets apart Cantiere delle Marche from the majority of the players in our industry. “We don’t produce ‘white yachts’ that look like explorers just to follow a trend,” says Buonpensiere. “Throughout the years, we have showed the market that we are able to build true explorers that have both elegance and style of a white yacht. The solutions we have fielded to make the MG line meet all these requirements are once again driving CdM’s explorer yachts forward.”

The MG115 is an elegant yet robust, reliable, environment friendly, long range explorer vessel with unrivalled technical equipment that allow her Owner, family and friends to enjoy safe journeys to the most remote and secluded areas of the globe. For all technical aspects, CdM has drawn not only on the expertise of its in-house design and engineering department but also that of long-standing partner Hydro Tec entrusted for the naval architecture.

The versatile layout comprises four lower deck suites and a master stateroom on the main deck forward, with the capacity for ten guests serviced by six crew. A cleverly designed layout offers easy circulation and a functional connection between the decks with all exterior stairs located on the port side and large side walkways. Great emphasis has been given to outdoor areas with extremely large lounging/dining areas on all decks. Yet, should you have enough of sun and wind, when you enter the Main or Upper salon you don’t lose contact with the outdoors as vast windows light the rooms while visually connecting them to the sea beyond. On the Lower deck you realize that natural light and views are not reserved solely to the upper decks as all four guest cabins on the Lower deck, two Vip and two twin cabins, are indeed bright and airy thanks to large windows. On the same deck, the crew quarters sleeps 5 members while the Captain’s cabin is on the Upper Deck next to the wheelhouse.

The MG115 is a full-displacement explorer vessel with steel hull and aluminium superstructure. With twin heavy-duty Caterpillar C18 Acert 533kW each, complying with US EPA Tier 3 Emission Standards and IMO Tier II Emission Standards, she has a range of around 5000nm at economic speed.
